Special Weather Statement issued September 17 at 7:40AM MDT by NWS Billings MT

Localized dense fog has developed this morning from Miles City to Baker, with additional development along the Yellowstone River valley in Rosebud county. While not widespread, areas where fog has developed are reporting visibilities under half a mile at times. Drivers should be prepared for variable visibility while traveling, and slow down using extra caution when fog is encountered. This includes portions of I-94 and US-12. Fog is expected to dissipate by around 10 am this morning.
